Colourband Text

Purpose: display a text string of variable length in graduated colour. The HTML code generated is verbpse (the equivalent script is much shorter) — but has the advantage that it is JavaScript independent.

Colour values can be entered in the formats offered (decimal, decimal percentages, hexadecimal 3 or 6 digit notation) and will be converted to the currently selected display format.

The display format can be changed by the three format buttons. Rounding errors and small numerical changes will occur with multiple submissions / display format changes.
