Purpose: generate a graduated band of colour that resizes with changes in screen resolution and browser window size - quick example.

The colour band is created via table cells, therefore it is resizable - unlike a GIF image. The script generated in the textarea below can be copied and pasted into a web page, and will work in most browsers.

Colour values can be entered in the formats offered (decimal, decimal percentages, hexadecimal 3 or 6 digit notation) and will be converted to the currently selected display format. The display format can be changed by the three format buttons.
